Coordinates: 30.794°N 34.773°E Avdat ( Hebrew: עבדת, Arabic: عبدة, Abdah ), also known as Abdah and Ovdat and Obodat, is a site of a ruined Nabataean city in the Negev desert in southern Israel. It was the most important city on the Incense Route after Petra, between the 1st century BCE and the 7th century CE.

The Avdat National Park encompasses the ruins of Avdat on top of the high limestone hill and the area down the slope. There are parking lots at the base of the hill and at its top. Tours at the site usually start from the top and end at the bottom.

The park is located off the Be'er Sheva-Mitspe Ramon road (no. 40). The lower entrance to En Avdat is near Ben-Gurion's tomb and Midreshet Sde Boker. The upper entrance is about 5 km to the south.
